With Halloween round the corner we can all expect to see Hocus Pocus returning to our
screens.
So Bette Midler’s tweet about a possible sequel was not only perfectly timed, but funny as
hell.
Bette, who played the eldest Sanderson sister Winnifred in the classic Nineties comedy,
offered up this post on Tuesday.
If you don’t know the movie (shame on you), the Winnifred sisters are a coven of witches
who are brought back from the dead when a virgin lights the Black Flame Candle.
No doubt Bette is referring to the string of young Disney stars who aren’t exactly as clean-
cut as they used to be.
The fact that Hocus Pocus hasn’t had a sequel yet seems to be a sore spot for Bette.
Not sure the Fast & Furious franchise is a good basis for that sequel argument.
